Hi! We’re Max & Amy, a crazy Minnesota couple with a love of travel, photography and the outdoors. At 33 years old we made the decision to take a year off to travel because we were craving an adventure!
Though we enjoyed our careers (Max as a Financial Controller and Amy as a Merchandising Business Manager), and loved living close to our families in Minneapolis, we knew something was missing.
As two people with a perpetual case of the “travel bug” and Max being a landscape photographer we felt the need to get out and explore more. With dreams of seeing THE WORLD, we realized we had barely scratched the surface on what the greatest country in the world had to offer! From there came the idea of purchasing an RV and traveling the USA for 14 months.
It took a year to plan, but we took the plunge with Amy saying goodbye to her job and Max working remotely while we travel. So, after a lot of research we purchased a truck “The Beast” and a 28 foot travel trailer “Big Red”. We put all of our furniture in storage, rented out our home, packed up our gear, said goodbye to family and hit the road!
